Can AI become self-aware?

AI and Cognitive advanced mechanics are the two robust fields of plan and designing, holding onto all the spotlight recently. Man-made consciousness is a human knowledge recreation handled by machines, while mental mechanical technology is the end product of advanced mechanics and mental science that makes arrangements with mental peculiarities like getting the hang of, thinking, discernment, expectation, memory, and consideration. Mechanical technology is a piece of AI, where the robots are customized with man-made brainpower to play out the undertakings, and AI is the program or calculation that a robot utilizes to fill mental roles. In less difficult terms, a robot is a machine, and AI is the astuteness fuel strengthened to light perceptual capacities in a machine. There are various kinds of AI had been discovered:  Receptive Machines AI: Reactive machines are modified with an anticipated result in view of the information it gets. They neither record past experiences or capacities n

The Aid Of AI In Soccer

Image
What is a machine? A machine is anything that reduces human effort. Anything that saves time or simplifies work is a machine. It’s a warm day, press a button, get a blast of air. The fan… A machine! Speak with your friends miles away with just a phone call. Speak to friends or family miles away. The phone… A machine! Compute millions in a second. The calculator… A machine! We’re surrounded by machines. The future is all about Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Data Analysis. AI based technology helps humans reduce effort and error, and this technology has been gained by FIFA (The International Governing Body of Soccer, Futsal, and Beach Soccer) as well to reduce errors by referees in order to make correct; potentially game changing decisions. Not only is this automated technology reliable, it’s what the fans have been asking for since ages. Offside is one of the most critical decisions of the game to make for the referee. Scott Fujita best explains offside as the result of an attackin

PeopleLens: How Artificial Intelligence Can Enhance the Experience of People With Visual Impairment

Image
Artificial intelligence has been shown to provide opportunities to improve various aspects of the human experience, from efficiency to safety. Another way AI can help people is through improving the lives of those with disabilities. One example of this is the PeopleLens , a new piece of technology being developed by Microsoft. PeopleLens is a device that will help people with visual impairments or blindness to better understand their surroundings and communicate with those around them. How it works:      The device is a combination of a phone app and glasses with augmented reality technology used for the purposes of tracking people’s locations, names, and where they are looking. PeopleLens gives different cues based on distance . Within 10 meters, a registered person will prompt a percussive bump. When within 4 meters, if the perceived person is registered their name will also be emitted. One caveat here is that their ears need to be noticed as well. Furthermore, the device utili

Protecting Astronauts with AI

Image
With NASA's Artemis project well underway, protecting astronauts with new technology is the best way to help ensure safe space travel. One such new technology is being developed by Microsoft and Hewlett Packard Enterprise in conjunction with NASA to develop a system for inspecting astronauts' gloves in real time.     The current technology that is being used to monitor the health of astronauts' gloves requires sending images of the gloves back to Earth to be analyzed by NASA on the ground. This is clearly a problematic system as sending image data back to Earth can take a lot of time to determine whether or not the gloves are safe for use. This time gets even more problematic when we consider that the future of space travel involves being even further away from Earth than we can currently achieve. It is then necessary to create a system that can let astronauts know in real time how safe their gloves are for use.      The new system being developed uses cameras on the as

Can A.I make (good) music?

Image
In my opinion, this question also falls under the umbrella of “Can A.I be creative?” and since Paul has given a positive response to the question, I think it is worthwhile to look into what A.I’s creativity can do to music.       Earlier this year, a group of students used an open-source Generative Pre-trained Transformer GPT-2 created by OpenAI and TeleMelody to transform lyric to melody in an effort to generate a rock song. The model is first trained by using approximately 22,000 rock song lyrics recommended by Spotify. The song lyrics extracted also come with tags for each lyrical section and are broken into: intro, verse, chorus, and outro .      This is an example of a song generated by the GPT-2 model about happy day:       Then, they used Telemelody approach for lyric-to-melody. And the end result performed by Synthesizer V is as below: Bfenison & Linharri · Happy Day     I would not this is a good piece of music or that it really sounds like a rock song. But I&

Can AI do your homework ?

Image
Can AI do your homework ?   When we were young, all of us wished that one day we can have a robot that does our homework for us, with simple click, all of your assignments are done and you get to play video games all day. Well that's not a dream anymore, thanks to AI which refers to artificial intelligence. AI has reached a point where it is capable of doing some of the things that human beings can do. Advancements in technology are enabling computers to think, reason and answer questions like never before. Yet, most people still have reservations about whether or not AI can complete something as complex as homework assignments. The first step to completing any assignment is finding resources that will be able to answer your questions or help you get started on the work you're doing. Thanks to all the resources and libraries the internet has, it's more suited for AI to find solutions to homework problems that are not easy for human beings Nowadays, there exist AI that doe

MLB and AI: Tradition vs Innovation

Image
Major League Baseball (MLB) is the longest running professional sports league in America dating back to 1876. Trying to hold on to its "old-school" image has been a priority, however, the game is no stranger to innovation as it has had to do so to maintain relevance over the past 135 years. According to chicagostylesports.com , it appears now that MLB is on the verge of its latest major innovation. An innovation that will, for the first time ever, merge the old-school ideals of traditional baseball with the new-school artificial intelligence information that is seeing more and more use in sports as we improve our understanding of the technology. I present to you: The Robot Umpire (or RoboUmp for short). Photo Source: Chicagostylesports.com     The image shown above is, of course, completely satirical in nature. MLB is not at all concerned with replacing home plate umpires with actual robots. As a matter of fact, the game would "look" the exact same as it does no
