Advancements in technology are enabling computers to think, reason and answer questions like never before. Artificial intelligence is the next technological revolution, and it will revolutionize education in a major way. Our current educational system is premised on teachers instructing students as they model how to understand and solve problems. The success of AI changes the game.

It will free students from being just spectators in lectures, it will mean less time for teachers to play around with their laptops, and it gives AI access to large amounts of data that would otherwise be unavailable (e.g., k-12 student records). All this means that we are about to see a major paradigm shift where educators have more opportunities for creativity without sacrificing the quality or quantity of content or student learning outcomes.
